My Approach

I provide techniques that can help you begin to feel a little better right away. Through our work together over time you can have a greater sense of empowerment, healthier relationships, improved self-value, and resilience in navigating what your journey brings.

 

I use a blend of strategies including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Change the thoughts that lead to negative behaviors and beliefs about yourself

  • EMDR: Heal from trauma by changing how your brain processes past events

  • Internal Family Systems: Explore old patterns to understand which coping skills have been helpful and which are no longer serving you

  • Yoga and Mindfulness: Increase your mind-body connection to decrease the physical effect of negative emotions and beliefs

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Gain the confidence to say "No" to unwanted requests and ask for what you want and need
