About Us

Adam Headshot.png

Adam Kornhauser

For years, I struggled to start a meditation practice. When I finally made it stick, I realized meditation was nothing like how it’s marketed. My biggest obstacle was the misconceptions I had about what meditation should be. I’ve since discovered that many people face the same challenges.

As a Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator, I help people start and sustain their meditation practice with a focus on self-compassion. Meditation has profoundly impacted my life, and I want to share those benefits with others in a way that feels approachable and practical, breaking down the barriers that often keep people from starting.

Beyond meditation, I’m lucky to be married to my amazing wife, Danielle, a therapist and yoga teacher in Maple Lawn. We have two wonderful kids, Emma and Olivia, who attend Fulton Elementary. Our family moved to the neighborhood in the summer of 2022.

I'm a retired Army veteran, a father of two young adults, and a husband to a wonderful woman for over 23 years. My meditation journey began in college in 1999 when an Intro to Philosophy course sparked my interest in mindfulness. Since then, I’ve deepened my practice through retreats and have shared meditation techniques through workshops, small groups, and individual coaching.

As a Board of Advisors member for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), I travel the country leading workshops on emotional resilience for grieving military families. I’m also a mental fitness coach through the Positive Intelligence program, an ACC ICF-certified life coach, a Mindfulness Mentor, and an End-of-Life Specialist. Through my company, GRIT Adventures, I provide mindfulness-based resilience workshops and outdoor experiences for organizations, schools, sports teams, and non-profits.
